FLOOD is a not for profit contemporary art project directed and curated by Paul McAree. Existing since 2008, FLOOD has commissioned projects by artists including Theresa Nanigian, Flavia Muller Medeiros, Kevin Atherton and Michael John Whelan. In 2012 FLOOD launched the first of 8 exhibitions in a successful partnership with Dublin City Council Arts Office as part of the Vacant Spaces initiative. Leaving a physical gallery space behind in 2014, FLOOD commissions occasional one-off projects with artists with long lead in times, supporting unique projects with artists and fostering new developments in their practice. FLOOD is currently on hiatus, but aims to present new commissions in the future.
